Eurojackpot has jackpots from €10 million euros (after winning the jackpots) to €90 million euros (after about 8 rollovers). All prizes, including the jackpot are paid in cash lump sum.

Jackpot in Eurojackpot is won by matching 5 numbers from 1-50 and 2 supplementary numbers from 1-10.

Odds of winning the lottery jackpot are currently 1:95 million. Until October 10, 2014 it was 1:39 million. Chances of winning the jackpot is higher than in the the other transnational european lottery EuroMillions (1:117 million).

Eurojackpot has also 12 other prizes levels. Odds of winning the smallest price is 1 in 35. Until October 10, 2014 it was 1 in 42

Eurojackpot lottery draws are held every Friday at 21:00 local time in Helsinki, Finland. Results are officially checked in Germany and Denmark and published within a couple of hours. The Draw is also televised live in the 16 main countries participating.

Eurojackpot can be played in Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden. Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Eurojackpot can also be played online.

  • Germany, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy and the Netherlands met in Amsterdam in to finalize the negotiations for Eurojackpot lottery on November 2011
  • First lottery draw was on March 23, 2012.
  • Spain joined the Eurojackpot on 30 June 2012
  • Croatia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden joined the lottery On February 1, 2013.
  • Number of supplemental numbers was increased from 8 to 10.This change in rules that lowered the chances of winning the jackpot and increased the chances of winning the smallest cash prize October 10, 2014
  • The Czech Republic and Hungary joined on October 10, 2014
  • Record breaking jackpot on May 15, 2015 as player from Czech Republic won the 90 million Euro jackpot.
  • Slovakia joined on October 9, 2015.
